Its Here: BMW's M4 Cabrio with a soft top, M xDrive and Competition Package!
2022 BMW M4 Convertible
BMW has finally taken the wraps off the M4 Convertible and it looks great. If you are seeking a high performance sports car that can drop the top and seat 4, this might be it!
We have already discussed the New BMW M3 and M4 in previous posts. You can read about the BMW M3 and M4 with xDrive here or Watch some reviews here. For now, we will focus on the M4 Convertible specifically and what makes it so special and provide some nice detailed media from BMW.
Check out the interior.
6 Facts We Love About The 2022 BMW M4 Convertible:
Fabric Top drops in 18 seconds.
BMW ditched the hard top and replaced it with something of a "hybrid top" if you will. It gives that rag-top-look with the reinforcement of a retractable hardtop underneath - plus its 40% lighter and increases boot capacity by 80 liters! Very cool indeed.
M xDrive - All Wheel Drive Only, But....
Yes, the M4 Convertible only comes with All Wheel Drive, but it is deferrable and can be disengaged. Again, Best of all worlds if you ask me - barring a bit extra weight.
503 Horsepower - Competition Spec Only
You can only get your M4 Convertible in Competition spec which means 503hp, 479lb/ft and a ZF Eight Speed Automatic.
0-60 in 3.6 Seconds
The M4 can reach 0-60 in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of up to 174. We think the sprint times are underrated. Given the power/torque of the vehicle plus the all wheel drive - it may be closer to 3.2....but that's a guess.
Model Specific Chassis Setup
The BMW M4 has been designed specifically more rigid with enhanced technology and torsional stiffness to handle its roofless design.
The Only Cab in the Class?
Moving forward, it doesn't look like any of the M4's direct competition will be producing a cabriolet. If that's so, this is the only choice. That's not such a bad thing, is it?
